THE NELO FIT GUIDE
How Should an
Oversized Hoodie Fit?
One unisex silhouette. Different bodies. Here's how to understand the proportions, choose your fit, and make oversized feel intentional.

The same hoodie can look completely different depending on who's wearing it.
That's not a problem with an oversized hoodie. It's part of the silhouette.
Nelo hoodies are designed with a unisex oversized fit. That means more room through the body, a relaxed shoulder line and an easier sleeve than you'd normally see on a close-to-body sweatshirt.
Those proportions naturally sit differently depending on height, shoulder width and body shape.
For women — especially those with smaller or narrower frames — the same unisex fit can naturally look more oversized.
HOW IT SHOULD FIT
Four things
worth noticing.
Oversized changes the proportions of the garment. These are the details that make the difference.
The shoulder drops.
The seam may sit beyond your natural shoulder. That's what gives the hoodie a softer, more relaxed shape.
The sleeves have room.
Expect more space through the arms and a little more sleeve length than you'd find on a fitted sweatshirt.
The body hangs away from you.
An oversized hoodie isn't designed to trace the waist. The extra room through the body creates its drape.
Length depends on your frame.
The same hoodie may naturally appear longer on a petite frame and more balanced on someone taller.
02 / CHOOSE YOUR FIT
How oversized
do you want it?
That's the question that matters most.

A NOTE FOR WOMEN
“Why does my usual size look so big?”
A unisex silhouette naturally creates more volume on some women's frames.
If you're petite or have narrower shoulders, the dropped shoulder, body width and sleeve length may feel more noticeable.
That doesn't automatically mean you picked the wrong size.
Want the full oversized look? Stay with your usual size.
Want less volume? Try one size down.
The volume is part of the outfit.
NOW STYLE IT
Don't fight the proportions. Use them.
Once you stop trying to make oversized look fitted, styling becomes much easier.
There are really three ways to approach it: balance it, embrace it, or contrast it.
Easy everyday proportions.
Let the oversized hoodie be the relaxed part of the outfit, then keep the rest of the styling clean and easy.
Mini + tall boots.
A shorter hem and structured boot create contrast against the relaxed hoodie.
THE STYLING CHEAT SHEET
Balance.
Pair the hoodie with leggings, fitted shorts or another streamlined bottom.
Embrace.
Pair it with wide-leg denim or relaxed pants and let the whole outfit have volume.
Contrast.
Add something sharper — tall boots, a mini, or a structured accessory.
Find your version
of oversized.
There isn't one correct way to wear it.
Some people want dropped shoulders, relaxed sleeves and plenty of room.
Others want the same ease with less volume.
Make it yours.
